Heat transfer is the movement of heat and temperatur,while Mass transfer deals with concentrations of a particular substance.they are of two types;
1.mass transfer include diffusion
2.convection

While normal carburising and nitriding surface treatments increase fatigue strength, excessive treatment may decrease the fatigue strength. Why ?
