The working principle of ceiling fan:-ceiling fan in which
split phase motor. It is work on mutual induction.
The working principle of table fan:-table fan has a split
phase motor.& also work on mutual induction.
mutual induction:-when stater connect on ac supply, stater
produced rotating magnetic flux.this flux cut with rotar.by
air gap.& produced rotating magnetic flux in it.

Answer / poo zhey
ceiling fan works by the principle of induction. i.e. when
ac supply is given to a coil, rotating magnetic flux is
produced which is induces voltage in the rotor and develops
torque. thus it rotates

In the operation of an AC motor, the frequency of the applied power determines the motor’s speed and the voltage determines the motor’s torque capability. The torque capability is actually defined by a curve showing torque capibility vs. operating speed. The induction motor runs at a slip depending upon the load. The slip is rarely more than 10%. In any case from the formula N =120F/P where N is the synchronous RPM, F the frequency, & P the number of poles , it can be seen that voltage has no role in the speed control. There is some other reason
