cdma acronym is "code division multiple access" .It works
by assigning a particular code to subscriber while making a
call so that it has flexible bandwidth to use...
where as gsm acronym is global system for mobile
communication it does us different frequencies and
bandwidth . its quality is far better compared to cdma...

in gsm we have different chanels, but in cdma only a single channel exist.... in gsm.. as there are different channels,,,
handoffs are required..in cdma as single channel is present handoff is a unknown ,,extra terrestrial word ..i.e. it does not exist.. freq reuse concept is essential in gsm.. and it is a stupid word for cdma as single channel is shared....

A Mobile station (MS) is attached to the GSM (PLMN)public
land mobile network through the Um interface.
The user in the code space be separated by using code with
some characteristics, so that they can access the shared
medium uninterruptedly Code division Multiple Access(CDMA)
implements such scheme.

in cdma, fdma & tdma together are used.in gsm, there are no
such fundas.there are different freq bands in cdma and the
n/w user is shifted or assigned over another band after
some amount of time.but in gsm, many users are bounded tyo
ese same freq band.thats why we get clear n/w in cdma.
