Major difference between isolator and circuit breaker is that isolator is an off-load device, whereas circuit breaker is an on-load device.

isolator is used for to seperate the healthy section of circuit from faulty section.
whenever the maintainanace is required.
isolator operates at no load condition to open or close circuit

basically isolator s sumthn which isolates the ckt faulty
ckt from the heathy when and where ever required. It can
be manual or can be automatic too. Automatic isolator is
called ckt breaker.

the floor. These are made up of Rubber or asbestos material
so as to absorb the shocks from being transmitted to the
floor.
