ground earth&netural means one circuit closeing point
earithing

ground and earth are same things
these have zero potential.
under normal conditions(when the device is not in use) the
neutral can also be treated as at zero potential, but when
it is working then it has some potential with respect to
the EARTH
while in 3 phase star system ,the neutral got some voltage
if there exists an unbalance condition.......
for delta connection the earth is used as a neutral

Neutral is a reterning path of current. when neutral short
with earthing at distribution transformer its
called "EARTH".
GND is a extanded surface of neutral in any CKT.

Every component in power systems shoul connect to ground
properly at where it is located.Neutral means both ends are
connect to ground with sertairn distance (ex. transmission
lines)

if current carying part of eqp i.e. trf or gen neutral is
connected to earth the it is generally called as grounding
on the other side non current carrying parts i.e. trf body
metal str of a S/S are usually connected earth knownn to
be earthing.

Answer / ramya
in the term earth means that it will conduct the current
and make the system as a balance one .in the term neutral
means that it will wont conduct the current its acts as a
part of the circuit.

how many types of colling system it transformers?
why the voltage and current in a long transmission line are called travelling wave?
In India the supply voltage is 230 volt A.C. During the negative half cycle phase becomes neutral and neutral become phase? or what will happen during negative half cycle? how the electrons flow during positive and negative half cycle?
what is the function of step up transformer?
how to calculate voltage drop in long distance cable? for an e.g lamp of 12 volt ac ,300watt is 90 meter away from supply i.e (x'mer 230 v / 12v)and i m getting 8 volts at lamp terminal ....
why the Parameters : Base Voltage & Maximum Voltage can't be equal in value in a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) ? How much the base voltage would be lower than the maximum voltage ? If 400 V is the 3 phase output of a VFD ... then what should be the base voltage ? thanks a lot
How good are you in resolving the commercial issues to Employer's advantage?
we hav seen in electric engine of trains only 1 wired slidng conecctn is there frm ovrhead line, howevr to complete a ckt in dc postv n negtv two conection has to b there...so where is tht negative is been connectd or where it is grounded...?
How many different speeds can be obtained in cascade control of two induction motors?
Suppose a 3 phase, 2 pole, 440V induction motor is driving a flywheel of 600mm diameter, 150kg mass. By using v-belt and pulley, the speed is increased to 4500 RPM. What will be the effect on motor current?
why inuctive drop is not consider in DC MOTOR
