Neutral is used to make the circuit complete.
Earth is used to protect the instuments or whatever ,from
electrical shock.
Ground is used to bypass the electrical leakages

neutral is a return path for current,
earth is the terminal connected to an earthing pit provided
for protection purpose and
ground is a referance terminal at 0 volt used for general
purposes such as testing, return path. It may or may not
connected to the earthing pit, it may be connected to the
body of equipment, base plate, etc
