Can we use the 60 HZ transformer/rectifier/Motors/Coils in
50 HZ? if not so, why?

NO...
For maintaning the magnetic flux in any coil(motor.
transformer etc.)in the same level, we have to keep the v/f
ratio same always. Where V= Applied voltage and F= Applied
Frequency.
If u reduce the frequency from 60hz to 50(reducing to 83%)
hz by keeping the applied voltage same, that instrument
will take more current.
one reason for that is while reducing the frequency, its
inductive reactance also will decreace, so total impedence
also.
But you can use that machine if u reduce the applied
voltage also to approximately 83%

why we use sinosidal voltage / current instead of others in system?
in 4 pole lap wound dc motor one brush is disconnected then what result in new voltage if its voltage is v volts power is p watts current is i amp
what is called star connection and delta connection also purpose of this connections?
if i have to use 14 kw what size of power cable can i use and size of earth cable also.
Why Lightning arrester used? Can we use piece of iron as a core material of transformer, if No, why? In CRGOSS material what is meaning of cold rolled grain oriented? Why Impegrenation of Transformer is done? Properties of Insulator? what is phase angle? Testing of transformers (Routine & Monthly)?
what's the difference between induction generator and synchronous generator?
Is it possible to operate a synchronous 2-poles turbogenerator with a still-in-place faulted bar but electrically disconnected ???? If yes, should I act on the other phases as well ???
why DOL starter is use in induction motor as it is not reduce the starting torque
sir my exam is on 19/6/2013 under electrical branch pls send me sample aptitude questions as well as sample technical questions for jindal steel and power company
hi i m going to attend bhel interview on 22nd sep 2008 for ET(electrical engineering).pls guide me how to prepare for the interview.i am a fresher.
in dc machines in the armature nature of power is ac but why we take rasistance instead of impedance?
How to control the dc motor in ac supply without thyristor circuit?
