for the grade m20 the cement per 1cum is 320kg
so the quantity is calculate in this manner
1000*4"=9.42 cum
then 9.42*320=3014kg 1bag= 50kg than
3014/50=60.2bags

Answer / raghav gowda
for 1000sqft slab of 4" thk.
assume for M20 grade of 350kg cement for 1cum of concrete is
first convert the 4" thk to feet i,e 4/12= 0.333'
then, 1000x0.333= 333cft
convert 333cft to cmt i e, 333/35.28=9.438
for 9.438cmt of concrete cement required is 9.438x350=3303.3kg
then convert it in to bags
3303.3/50=66.066bags
so the cement reqired is 66.066bags.

1000 Sq.ft= 92.9 Sqm
4 inches= 0.1 m
volume= 92.9*0.1= 9.29 Cum
M20 Grade
Cements bags= 0.29*(0.46/1.5)*1440=4102.464kgs/50 kgs= 82 Bags

Answer / sindhu
If grade is M10 (1:3:6), cement in kgs per cum is 266kgs
1000 sq ft
4 inches=4/12=0.33ft
1000*0.33=330 cft
330/35.315(1 cum= 35.315 cft) = 9.344cum
9.344*226(cement in kgs per cum) =2111.85 kgs
2111.85/50(per bag) = 42.23 bags
