Diode is two terminal Device ( Anode and Cathode).It will
work only in one direction either positive or negative. If
the diode is forwad bias it will work in forward and it
will oppose in reverse bias vice-verca for Reverse bias.
SCR is three terminal device ( Anode , cathode, gate). By
using SCR we can controll the Primary circuit. It is
Control or switching operation by third terminal i.e Gate

Diode is semiconductor device its two terminal anode and cathode it will work only two direction either forward and reverse anode is Positive terminal and cathode is negative terminal the electron will be flow positive to negative according to direction if diode will be forward bias if diode will be reverse bias then just opposite and SCR is three terminal device anode cathode and gate third terminal is used to switching and amplifying the circuit
