Do not panic for this question, for hollow blocks your immediate answer should be the width or bredth of the block, there are three varients in block width, length and depth's remains constant, simple way to calculate is 1 / (0.4 x 0.2 x 0.2 or 0.15 or 0.1). similarly for bricks find out the dimensions approx no of bricks per cum is 500 nos.

77 to 116 as or calculation for 40x20x10 and 30x20 x 20 ...but add 5 - 10 % extra for wasage and motar thickness

Standard Size of solid brick considered is 12"x9"x6"
ie., 300x225x150=0.0101 Cum
no of Solid bricks= 1/0.0101
= 98 No's
