How to convert KVA rating into HP rating?

Answer / sheeraz ali
It depends upon the power factor,
As 1HP =746 W =0.746 KW
and
apparent power (KVA)= Active power (W) / P.F
if P.F is 0.8 then,
KVA=0.746 / 0.8 = 0.9325
if P.F is 0.9 then,
KVA=0.746 / 0.9 = 0.8288

For e.g 1 Kw=1000Wt
1000Wt=250 v*4 Amp (in 1 Phase)
1000Wt=440v*2.27Amp(in 3 Phase)
1 Hp=735.5Wt
