Choke is basically a
inductor and it
opposes the fall and
rise in the voltage.
E.g.- in old tube
light it lights if we
remove its starter
from ckt.
And if it provides
high statring voltage
than why a tube light
having choke and
starter doesn't glows
if we supplies loe
voltage than
rated....?

choke is an inductor used in tube lights to limit the
voltage, it is not used as stater..
