SYNCRONOUS MOTOR AT NOLOAD CONDITION IT BEHAVES LIKE A
CAPACITOR
AT OVER LOAD CONDITION IT BEHAVES LIKE A INDUCTOR
AT NORMAL OPERATING CONDITION,IT BEHAVES LIKE A RESISTOR
THAT IS AT NORMAL CONDITION IT OPERATES IN UNITY POWERFACTOR

when the synchronous motor is run in normal condition , it will act as a inductor. it draws the lagging current from the supply.
when the synchronous motor is run under over excitation, it will act as capacitor that means it draws the leading current from the supply.
this is the key to improve the power factor.

can we choose current transformer secondary, to calculate residual flux in a power transformer, so as its saturation is close to the saturation level of power transformer?
Why in Hv transmission line as we see there are generally 6 or more than 4 conductor wires are used instead of 4 i.e. 3 for phase and 1 for neutral wire?????
why transformer rating in kva and motor rating in kw
We are getting supply at33kvand it stepdown to 11kv.So Our requirement is 11kv voltage.why we draw 33kv from the grid instead of 11kv?
As we know, charged clouds(from which lightning stroke initiates)may be charged with either +ve charge or -ve charge. Now say one cluster of cloude is fully charged with +ve charge & another cluster is fully charged with -ve charge. In the sky these two cluster of charged clouds have come in such a distance that, if they come clouser by some few yeards then the lightning discharge will take place between these two cluster of clouds. Under such a situation an Aircraft came inbetween. what happend??
what is power factor?

we done magnetic balance test for 33KV /440V transformer in our company , but the ratio out is confusing us Voltage applied in RY = 440 , at RB = 320 and YB = 60 RY 440 = ( RB + YB ) 380 only Please let me know what type of problem is it.
