how a synchronous motor is used as a resistor, capacitor and
an inductor?
Answer Posted / ilayaprabha
when the synchronous motor is run in normal condition , it will act as a inductor. it draws the lagging current from the supply.
when the synchronous motor is run under over excitation, it will act as capacitor that means it draws the leading current from the supply.
