it will depends on construction of motor;
if field winding is in series with the armature winding
then it is like a universal motor and it will run as a
simple motor.;
but field winding is in parallel with the armature winding
then it will not run, but current will flow in winding due
to this heatting will produced and the motor/winding car
burn.

ac supply power is p=vicos
dc supply power is p=vi
poer is unbalanced otherwise dc supply frequency is 0.

the distance from my office to d.g is aprox 400mtrs and voltage drops ibn my office near about 40 volt what should i do p[ls suggest.
