What is the use of 1:1 isolation t/f in any circuit...?..

Answer / aamod tripathi.

The main use of Isolation Transformer is to Isolate the
circuit without changing the voltage ratio. i.e. 1:1. It is
generally used in LT (415 V Three phase systems).

The isolation is needed because the LT system is much prone
to faults and the faults like line to ground faults are
common. At this level of voltage most of the petty but
important loads are connected. Human interface is maximum
and the system is not as Ingress protected as in case of HT
switchgear (Where seperate room and skilled persons only
have access). Therefore the fault level is dangerous and the
consequences can be even dangerous. Therefore to Reduce
fault level Firstly a transformer is inserted thus its
impedance %z comes into circuit (Series Impedance). And even
if fault occours you/ Device is isolated from the main
circuit which is actually feeding the fault. Thus it keeps
one safe and Protects severe damages that could have
happened otherwise.

What is the use of 1:1 isolation t/f in any circuit...?..

Answer / bala

simply saying isolation of any circuit is used to isolate
from line to line line to ground and also for human shock
resist, because everyone did not know about the risk and
dangerous of electricity only skilled will know about it. so
every circuit is should be isolated for safer use
