In 400kV switchtard CVT is used for Voltage mesuring
(Protection & Metering purpose) and supply for wave trap.
wave trap is used for distence protection and communication
between sub stations.
For distence protection of line:
By using of wave trap triping time is less compare to relay
triping time.
