IN BS2 there is No catalytic converter to reduce formation
of co and HC whereas in BS3 catalytic converter is
available to reduce the formation of HC and CO. So less
emission of HC and co will take place in BS3

On 2000 CMVR(Central Motor Vehicle Regulation Act) came
into existence on Year 2000.That Any car which is
manufactured in India will follow the Pollution Norms which
is called BS-1, BS-2,BS-3 & BS-4,etc...Every 3 Years, the
regulation to be followed in the State Captals mainly NCR
Areas. At present, New cars are selling in BS-4
Regulations.This will reduce Pollution and High Technology
is used to reduce Pollution.
Now, MPFI,GDI & CRDi Technologies came into existance in
India because of the Pollution Norms adopted by Ministry of
Transport thro CMVR 2000.
