sir, i want to know the calculation for find rated current
for cable sizes.(both copper & aluminium) with examole.
please sir
for example: 35sq.mm al.cable is withstands for how many
amps?
is suitable for 45kw motor?

Mr Prakash answer is right but upto a extent, but as size
of conducter increases, The current carrying capacity of
the cable decreases.
Also Correct current carying capacity of the cable can be
taken from the cable manufacturer.

For 35mmsq size cable ,current anything more than 150
ampers is applicable. To find current use the formula P=VI
COSfi,WHERE COSfi=0.8 ,from this find current I,to find the
cicuit breaker size use the formula c.b rating =I(1.1-
1.25) ,this will give the ciucit breaker size,
Cuurent (amp) Cable Size (mmsq)
10 1.5
25 6
50 15
100 25
150+ 35

Current carrying capacity depends upon type of conductor and size&resistance &length of the conductor.
Eg:
Resistance of conductor is inversely proportional to cross section area of conductor and directly proportional to length of the conductor.
35 sq.mm cu cable can carry 130 amp
Current carrying capacity of cupper conductor is equal to 1.6 times of alluminium conductor in size.
4 sq.mm cu cable= 6 sw.mm am cable

Copper wire conducts 1A/sqmm while Al wire conducts 1.2A/sqmm....Now 1.8A current is drawn by 1KW load..So for 45KW motor 80A is drawn....So 75sqmm of Copper cable & 65sqmm of Al cable will be reuired....
