(hardware or software)used for monitoring &
control.Automation is the process to perform any control
operation.

In a more broader technical sense, Instrumentation deals
with sensing a process, suitably monitoring the process and
controlling it.
But Automation also partly deals with Aritficial
Intelligence, wherein the transductionand process
controlling is done interactively by in-built features of
the system, unlike mere Instrumentation,where an external
circuitry or a mechanism needs to be deployed.

why we take 4 to 20 mA as out put of every instrument like pressure transmittre ?why we cant take 0 to 20mA as output?
