1)Frequency should be same
2)Phase angle should be same
3)Voltage level should be same
4)Impedence should be same
5)RPM should be same

the following factors are very much important in case of doing synchronization.....:
1> the incoming and running alternator should have same operating frequency.
2> the output characteristic of prime mover should be same for both the alternater.
3>they should have the capability to produce same type of output... ie.sine wave waveform.
