Why is it preferred to use a wattmeter(s) to measure power
in three phase systems rather than using a combination of
other instruments e.g. voltmeters, ammeters etc?

by formula one can derive the power through Voltmeter &
Ammeter reading but its impossible to project the power
factor at the time of reading we r taking for both the meter.

The wattmeter is using for find out the power in 3 phase
and single phase in differnet formulas.
In the voltmeter and ammeter reading can also find out the
power to caluculate the formulas.
