thermocouple:it is formed by joining two dissimilar metals
and maintained at two different temperatures.this
difference in temperature creates a electro motive force at
the junction.this is the principle used behind the
thermocoulpe.an example for thermocouple is chromel-
aluminium thermocouple

thermostat:it is a temperature controlling device.by which
we can set any temperature.this is done by controlling the
fluid which transfers the heat.this contains temperature
sensors.the output of temperature sensors are used to vary
the temperature
