Absolutely there is no specific advantage if you are a
small user. for heavy industries it is advantageous coz of
less parts(contactors & timers) comparitive to Y/D
starter.for industries that dip when we start a motor using
DOL will take their grid or CPP ,where as for small users
they may not have such facility. so the flour mill users
will use Y/D stater to avoid sudden load on supply lines.

what are the types used for alternator earthing,what will happen if more than two alternator is working in parallel with each having own system earthing.is there any possibility for circulating current in between two system.
