Price Break refers that organization is asking the vendors for getting the discounts...at the time of raising RFQ's...
And price break is based on the setup defined at the purchasing options.. user can set the price break to CUMMULATIVE or NONCUMMULATIVE.
Cumulative: Price breaks apply to the cumulative quantity on all release shipments for the item.
Non-cumulative: Price breaks apply to quantities on individual release shipments for the item.

There are two types of Price Breaks:
1. Point Price Break
2. Range Price Break
Point Price break get the total price from the last pricing
bracket. From 1 to 10 item quantity price is 100 and from
11 to 15 item quantity price is 50, then the customer who
orders 12 quantity will pay 12*50=600.
Range Price Break get the total added from the sub totals
of each price bracket. From 1 to 10 item quantity price is
100 and from 11 to 15 item quantity price is 50, then the
customer will pay for 10*100=1000 and 2*50=100 the grand
total will be 1000+100=1100.

This price break concepts come under Managed Pricing (MP).
We have 2 types of price break concept.They are
1.Temporary price break
2.permanent Price break
Price Break:
A reduction in per-unit price if an order exceeds a
specified quantity.
A temporary reduction in the price of a product. For
example, a retailer may advertise a weekend price break for
a car stereo.
