electrical engineering giving priority for insulators
rather than conductors, why ?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / ravi
safety is on of the main factors in idustries. If a
conductor is used to carry power, on the other hand
appropriate insulator should be used to insulate the
conductor to avoid shocks. from preventive point of view,

its a reliability thing.. designing an electrical
instrument is important but the same time making that
instrument reliable for long life is much more
important..in this way insulators are concentrated

Selection of Insulation of conductor is depend on
Safety ,reliability, location where it is used.So electrical
engineer give more priority to the insulator then a
conductor

A powerplant has 8 gensets operating in grid parallel mode. In one genset sometimes there is pf variation and kvar variation. The plant operates in pf mode. When this variation is observed the load is stable, voltage is also stable, freq and genset speed is also stable. How will you check the functioning of pf card.
