Test Matrics: To measure & Monitor the result of the
ongoing test objectives, test matrics should be used. They
are defined in the test strategy. Only reliable, regular &
simple measurable metrics should be used. The following
approach can be distingushed.
1)Fault based & Failuar based metrics: Number of
encountered faults respectively generated, incident report
(per test objects) in the particular release. This should
also include the problem class & status, and, if possible a
relation to the size of the test object(line of code)test
duration or other measure.
2)Test case based matrics: number of test case specified or
planned, number of test case still blocked(eg because of a
fault not eliminated)number of test case run(successfull &
unsuccessful)
3) Test Object based matrics: Coverage of code, dialogues,
possible installition variants, platforms etc
4)Cost based metrics: Already incurred test cost, cost of
next cycle in relation to expected benefit(prevented
failure cost or reduced project risk or product risk)
