It cost a college Rs.0.70 a copy to produce a Programme for the homecoming football game. If Rs.15..

Answer / neeraj

profit = s.p - c.p
let x be the no. of copies sold.
s.p = .50x
c.p = (.70x - 15000)
each copies is cost to them is for rs. 0.70x
but 15,000 has been subtracted because they have received it
as an advertisement money (consider it as donation)
hence

profit = 8000
8000 = .50x - (.70x - 15000)
x = 35000

It cost a college Rs.0.70 a copy to produce a Programme for the homecoming football game. If Rs.15..

Answer / subhankar bhattacharjee

let 'x' be the number of copies.
cost price of each copy-(0.70*x-15000).....as 15000 they get for advertisement(assume as a donation)
selling price of each copy-0.50*x
so, we know profit-selling price- cost price
8000=0.50x-(0.70*x-15000) and the value of x is 35000
