First of all I would like to hank all the people over here whose
experience worked a mile for to clear my paper as well as the interviews
at the TCS.
I was placed at the off campus recruitment of TCS that was on 29th oct
2007 at Thakur college (apti) followed by interview session 0n 6th oct
2007 at TCS andheri.
Here i am trying to place the entire procedure during this period.

13th edition only; new editions do not have it.
If u keep patience u can surely clear this section with ease, just try to
understand the question properly.
The results were declared on 1st Oct 2007, by God’s grace I made it thru.
The interview was scheduled on 6th Oct 2007.
TCS interview basically consists of 3 rounds, Technical interview + HR
interview + MR.
In my case there were only 2 rounds (the first 2).

There were 2 persons (both male) who took my interview
Me: Good morning sir
1st person: Good morning, please take your seat
Me: Thank u sir
2nd person: So where do u stay
Me: At vasai sir
1st: ok, so did u managed to get here
Me: (interview was in andheri) I took a train from vasai and then came by
bus to the office from the station.
1st: tell me something @ urself
Me: Gave him a smart answer
(Always remember to cover ur academic record, family background (please
use the words father and mother, don’t use mom n dad) and ur personal
skills)
2nd: So wat do u know @ leadership? (Since I had mentioned I was a good
leader)
Me: sir academically I was my project leader and in extracurricular field
I was the incharge o anchoring committee during college festivals.
1st: so wat was the project u worked on?
Me: Digital Watermarking (both were surprised)
Here began my interview where it was all project related questions getting
deep into it.
I was able to give all the answers.
After a while one of them told me that TCS was implementing Digital
Watermarking.
So frnds be prepared with ur project as they can ask anything if they have
slightes of the idea.
2nd: wat is the difference between a website, a search engine and a portal?
Me: gave him the relevant answer
(Hint: website: Yahoo, Rediff; search engine: Google; portal:
carrers.tcs.com)
1st: wat were the electives?
Me: MC and ANN
1st: how is a call made fro one phone to another (he asked me to explain
in lay man terms)
Me: Told him about the BSC, BTS, GMSC etc
2nd: Ok then u can leave now
I thanked both of them and made my way out to the canteen
Within a few minutes one of the HR called out my name and told me that I
had cleared the technical and now I can go for the HR round
By now I was confident that I would make it.

Me: Good afternoon
Male: GA take ur seat
Me: Thank u sir
M: Tell me something @ urself
Me: Repeated the same thing as in technical round
Just added that I like to look at things with a different angel
F: how different is ur angel?
Me: well I don’t see the glass half empty or half filled…. I see it half
filled with water an the other half with air…..I look at things positively
F: Do u have any problem about relocation?
Me: not at all unless the place is present on this planet
F: (smiled) But wat @ ur parents if they have any problem?
Me: Mam if my parents had any problem they would not have send me so far
for education purpose (I studied near Goa but frm mum university only)
F: ok
Me: Can I ask something?
M and F: yes yes plz (I think no one had asked any questions earlier)
Me: wat will be the training period?
F: 45 days
I also asked @ the organizational hierarchy i.e. the different promotions
a fresher gets .
They gave me the answers
M: it was nice talking to u
Me: The honour is mine sir

Results were declared 2 weeks later on the portal; I was selected
