How the active power factor correction changes the wave shape of current drawn by a load to improve the power factor?
Answer / Brahmanand Thakur
Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuits are used to reduce the harmonic distortion in the current drawn by a load, improving the power factor. PFC circuits work by controlling the input current waveform to better match the output voltage waveform. This results in a more sinusoidal current waveform, reducing harmonic distortion and increasing the power factor closer to unity.
