Explain the construction and application of a jfet.
Answer / Chhatrapal
A Junction Field-Effect Transistor (JFET) is a type of FET with a p-n junction in its structure. The construction involves a piece of n-type silicon (drift region) with a p-type layer (base) implanted at one end, forming a p-n junction. A gate electrode is placed on the other end, which controls the width of the channel that carriers flow through. Applications include voltage regulation, amplification, and switching circuits.
