Why is the role of glycerol & naoh?
Answer / Arun Kumar Chaturvedi
Glycerol and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) are often used in soap-making. Glycerol acts as a humectant, attracting moisture to prevent the soap from drying out too quickly. NaOH is a strong base that saponifies fats and oils (turns them into soap), releasing glycerol during the process.
