COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) analysis is a method used to determine the amount of oxidizable organic matter present in a water sample. The products formed after COD analysis are mostly carbon dioxide (CO2), sulfates, and nitrates. These byproducts result from the strong chemical oxidation process using potassium dichromate.
