Explain the operating condition in scr.
Answer / Ansuman Singh
Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) operates under three conditions: 1) Forward Bias Condition - The anode and cathode are connected, and a voltage is applied across the gate and anode. 2) Gate Triggering Condition - A pulse of sufficient amplitude is applied to the gate terminal. 3) Sustained Conduction - Once triggered, the SCR continues to conduct until the current falls below a minimum value (holding current).
