What is pin diode?
Answer / Jyotsana Gunjiyal
A PIN diode is a three-layer semiconductor device made up of a p-type, an intrinsic (undoped), and an n-type layer. It behaves as a normal diode in forward bias but exhibits variable resistive behavior in reverse bias due to the creation of additional charge carriers in the intrinsic region.
