Define diffusion current in a semiconductor.
Answer / Ashish Maurya
Diffusion current is the flow of charge carriers (electrons or holes) due to their random motion as a result of temperature gradient. In a semiconductor, when there is an excess concentration of either electrons or holes on one side compared to the other, they will move from high concentration to low concentration through diffusion, resulting in a current flow.
