Hai friends this is rajendra

Answer for this question is:

Here we found defects/bugs in the last minute of the
deliveryor realese date

Then we have two options

1.explain the situation to client and ask some more time
to fix the bug.
2.If the client is not ready to give some some time then
analyse the impact of defect/bug and try to find
workarounds for the defect and mention these issues
in the release notes as known issues or known
limitations or known bugs.
Here the workaround means remeady process to be followed
to overcome the defect effect.
3.Normally this known issues or known limitations(defects)
will be fixed in next version or next release of the
software

this question asked me at verizon intervew in second round.
i have given a satisfactory answer to interviewer.

bug...they are ready to fix that bug within the time limit
(within 1 hour).i will wait till the bug is fixed then i
test it then i will released to my product
if it is not possible i will explain thhat bug to my client

Answer / tharun

When u came to know that there is a defect with a High
Severity at 3 PM, Then defently Defect Priority towards the
Product Delivery Time is High.
If i was in this position:
1. Speak with the Dev and Confirm whether it can be fixed
with 1 hour.(If yes No prob)
Else
2.Raise a Risk in the Project assigning to the Dev Team and
Mentioning the Risk in the Project Closure Activities and
make the client Understand that the Project is Delivered
with a Risk Assigned to it.

Note: Pls rememeber u should not raise a Issue at this
time. Issue is diff from Risk. Issue will be raised for
work around's(etc: when a screen is not working, dev will
provide an alternate screen to work) But risk means ur
project has 10 screens in that there is a invalid screen
and thr is no work arounds and u need to work in that 9
screens by keeping that invalid screen as risk

*Usually When these cases comes, Test Support People will
not allow the Project to get Delivered, they will postpond
the Delivery date bcoz No Mad Client will accept a S/w with
a Defect

And pls remember u should not raise a Issu

Answer / vamsi krishna

Hi Folks,
The Question Says the bug is High Seviarity, but, it is
not Saying About the Priority. if the bug is Low Priority
then the bug can be Fixed with in a Short time, the Bug
which have high seviarity can also have the Low Prority
so,development team can fix it in time then 5n, if not
mention in the Spec as a Not Delivarable.if the Bug is
Fixed with in the TIme then Make that also as a Delivarable.

Answer / jayaraman

good question as per the question the bug is high severity
only so we send the application to the client and find out
the severity is preyority or not. if its preyority then we
ask him to wait.

if am wrong please correct me.
