The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is a trilateral agreement between Canada, Mexico, and the United States that promotes free trade among its member countries. Signed in 1994, NAFTA eliminated tariffs on goods produced within the region and established rules for investment, intellectual property rights, and labor standards. The goal of NAFTA is to increase economic growth, create jobs, and strengthen competitiveness in North America.
