Difference between Shared Service Provider and Shared Service Application?..

Shared Service Provider (SSP) is a deprecated concept in SharePoint 2010, replaced by Shared Service Applications (SSA). The main difference is that SSA provides better scalability, management, and deployment capabilities compared to the older SSP.
