Pushdown Optimization in Informatica is a technique that pushes data processing tasks to the database server instead of the PowerCenter Engine. This reduces the amount of data sent between the database and PowerCenter, improving performance. There are two types of pushdown optimization: SQL Pushdown and Expression Pushdown.
