Can blood of mouse be stored, and if yes, How?..

Answer / Gaurav Goel

Yes, mouse blood can be stored for a limited time. It is typically stored as serum (the liquid component) or plasma (the liquid component with clotting factors removed). To store mouse serum or plasma, it should be collected from anesthetized mice and immediately centrifuged to separate the blood cells from the plasma. The plasma can then be frozen at -20°C or lower until use.
