EN 230 is a European standard for a low-alloy carbon steel used in structural applications, particularly bolts and nuts. This material, also known as S230JR (or St37-2), has a minimum yield strength of 230 MPa (32,589 psi) and is often used in high-stress environments where superior strength is required.
