Hi,
We have some difference and similarities in between
WinRunner and QTP.
Difference are
WinRuneer uses Test script language Qtp uses VB script.
WinRunner has some lengthy navigations to do any testing.
But QTP use some short navigations.
WinRunner don't maintain silent mode. But QTP maintains by
default silent mode so that whenever it get any mismatches
execution won't stop in the middle.
WinRunner won't support as good as QTP for web applications.
WinRunner won't support for dataware housing, SAP,Oracle
Apps, .net,Multimedia. But QTP support all technologies.
By using QTP we can do dynamic image comparision. But we
can't do in WinRunner. By default attachment of xl sheet is
there in QTP but not in WinRunner. It will create the
script in English langualge also but WinRunner won't record
in english.
