1) Single stirrup beam called 2legged.
2) Double stirrup beam called 4legged.
3) Triple stirrup beam called 6legged.

above shown stirrups is a 3 legged stirrup...legs in a
stirrup are no. of bars that are in the same direction as
the shear force.

similarly you can identify 2, 4, and 6-legged stirrups.
