I T FUNCTIONS AS PROTON DONOR OR ACCEPTOR.i t is the alpha
amino-beta imidazolopropionate.plays an imp role in
catalytic activities of some enzymes.It is a component of
simple peptides like carnosine and anserine.basic properties
are clear have relative weak affinity for h+ atom and
positive at neutral ph.
