positions only, while globe valve is regulator.

Gate valve there is no direction of flow can be used both sides.
But globe valve there is direction of flow, direction cannot
be changed.

Gate valve is used for fully open or fully closed position only and least resistance to flow.While for close control of flow globe valve is used.It is recommended for the purpose of throttling.

Gate valve cannot be serviced like globe valve
