How does latex agglutination work?
Answer / Muin Ahmad Khan
Latex agglutination is a rapid diagnostic test that detects the presence of specific antigens or antibodies in a sample. It works by mixing the sample with latex particles coated with an antibody specific to the target antigen or by using latex particles coated with the target antigen itself for antibody detection. If the antigen or antibody is present in the sample, it binds to the latex particles causing them to clump together (agglutinate), which can be visually observed or measured.
