spores are produced by microbes under unfavourable
conditions. so they are highlt resistant to high
temperatures. anyway moist heat sterilization is more
preferable for their destruction

Endospores are highly resistant to dessication, heat, and
chemicals. Although most are destroyed due to high pressure
+ high temperature by using an autoclave, a few are even
resistant to that.
Endospores can practically forever and are triggered into
becoming vegetative under the right conditions so they cause
a lot of problems for sterilization and in the food industry
as well with canned foods.
