Why the Bacterial spores are a problem in sterilizing
instruments and equipment ?
Answer Posted / kami
Endospores are highly resistant to dessication, heat, and
chemicals. Although most are destroyed due to high pressure
+ high temperature by using an autoclave, a few are even
resistant to that.
Endospores can practically forever and are triggered into
becoming vegetative under the right conditions so they cause
a lot of problems for sterilization and in the food industry
as well with canned foods.
