Hi just take the help of QTP help file , that will much
convinient for all of you , And I hope that will be
beneficial for you , and do the practice keep patience you
can learn slowly but it take some time initially ,
According to only the practice required there . good luck
and see help file and do practice and go ahead definetly .

Hey,
Don't worry Iam new too. The best way I thought for my
first assignment is just click and work through and see the
scripting and of course use the QTP help. You will
understand the flow. I believe this first step in seeing
the flow in the script helped me understand the tool as it
shows how QTP recognises objects. So just play around with
it.

Hello,
When you say NEW, do you mean only in regards to QTP or new
to testing as well, Elaborate more
If only QTP,
Then first visit www.w3schools.com and understand the
concept of VB scripts, try out few examples, once you get
comfortable then u know how and what VBscript is !!!!
Download the trial version of QTP and get through with
reading and implmenting as per the user material of the QTP
which comes along when u download it on ur system, You will
100% get the BASIC UNDERSTANDING ABOUT QTP...
FIRST IMPLEMENT the above rather than getting into books,
your basic foundation and understanding about QTP is
important, and can you be detailed when you have written My
company is QTP, what do you mean over here, do let know
hence forth when you put a question small caps are always
better to explain your needs and requirements, when you put
in all caps(type caps in big), is not a proper way to
convey your msg. Its ok, though but hope its fine with you
for whats written

Hey,

Just Download QTP trial version from HP site and go through
properly the User Guide book. You can also use the Help
option from the application to learn and understand the
basic concept. All the best.

Hi, I want to write the script for a webpage. But i didn't added the properties of the objects to the object repository. Without adding the object properties to the object repository, how to write the script. When i am writing the script, Let us say i typed as Browser (""). after selecting ".", if the object is added to the object repository it will display atomatically. But in my case it is not as i didn't added the object properties. How to proceed further in the above mentioned case to write the script manually. Pls let me know if you didn't understand the question.
